Cloud and Kubernetes setup
A hosting platform for your applications, defined in code so it can be rebuilt, not just remembered.
How we deliver it
- We move your applications off the server they outgrew, or set up hosting for new ones.
- Everything is defined in code and deployed from the repository.
- Certificates, DNS and access are automated.
How it works
The right platform is the smallest one that runs your applications reliably. A container platform is powerful and also a lot to operate, so we only reach for it when what you run justifies it. Whatever the size, everything is defined in code, so nothing depends on someone remembering how a server was set up.
Defined in code, rebuilt from code
Servers, networks, certificates, DNS and access are all described in a repository. Changes go through review and are applied automatically, so the platform matches what the repository says, and a lost server is rebuilt from it rather than reconstructed by hand.
What decides it
- What you run
- How many applications, how steady their load, and how often they change. That decides the platform more than any preference does.
- Who operates it
- A platform your team cannot run is a liability. We size it to your team, or run it for you.
- Where it must run
- Data location rules, a preferred cloud, or your own servers. The same code-defined approach works in each.
- Moving off what you have
- Applications move one at a time, with the old host kept running until each one is proven on the new platform.
- Cost
- Managed services trade a higher bill for less to operate. The cheaper option on paper is often the more expensive one to run.
Hand over or run
Your choice, per solution. We hand it over with documentation your team can work from, or we keep it running: upgrades, monitoring and incidents, with one of us on call 24/7.
Proof
We deployed and ran search clusters in every environment for a client, and run our own services the same way.
